Rogers Statement on Death of Border Patrol Agent Donna Doss

WASHINGTON House Homeland Security Committee Ranking Member Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) released the following statement after learning of the death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Donna Doss. Agent Doss was killed in the line of duty while responding to a call for assistance from a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper.

Agent Doss dedicated her life to keeping America safe, Rogers said. Spending more than 15 years as a border patrol agent, she served in multiple leadership roles and as part of important border security task forces. My prayers and condolences are with Agent Doss s family and friends at this very challenging time. As the ranking member of the Homeland Security Committee, I recognize the dangers border patrol agents face on a daily basis, and am committed to ensuring that they have the necessary resources to carry out their mission safely.
