The report gives the land sector and natural ecosystems a very positive rating due to the benefits they bring for biodiversity, soil quality and local food security.

We are preparing for our fourth in-person steering committee meeting to be held in Washington, D.C., on Oct 18-19. We will spend a fair amount of time reviewing the protocol team’s progress on the draft protocol and decisions informing the go-to-market strategy. We have scheduled a meeting with a select number of firms in the food and beverage sector to review the first draft of the protocol’s modules for carbon, water quality and water quantity. We are looking forward to the feedback we receive from this engaged group. This meeting will be held early November in Chicago.

We have received from Informa the economic assessment report that details the encouraging demand-side potential for the ESM program. Informa will be commencing the supply-side assessment, which is due by the end of the year. Sean Penrith joined Debbie Reed, Bruce Knight, Chad Ellis and Bill Buckner to share the high-level results of Informa’s analysis, protocol update, go-to-market strategy and technology platform design with the Noble Research Institute’s governing body in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the week of Oct. 8.

Ranking of the proposals submitted in response to the communications RFP is now complete, and the short list of contenders has been agreed upon. We will be advancing the final selection and award process toward the end of this month.

Noble Research Institute, LLC (www.noble.org) is an independent nonprofit agricultural research organization dedicated to delivering solutions to great agricultural challenges.
